We met Dan through a friend who recommended his help due to his knowledge of that area. Dan was great to work with for many reasons, including his ability to provide insight into numerous nuances that buying a house entails. This was especially helpful for us as first-time homebuyers. Dan grew up in Newton and has lived in the area his entire life, so his familiarity with the specific schools, local area, community etc. are incredible. However, the biggest compliment I can give Dan is that he referred almost all of the folks I used not only to buy the home, but to renovate it. I used his mortgage broker and she was not only offered the most competitive rates (I called 7 other brokers) but was very consultative throughout. I used his lawyer, who again not only saved me money, but who I also recommended to many friends who have passed his name on as well after working with him. I did extensive work to the house and literally every single person I hired (floors, ceiling, plaster, buit-in custom furniture, electrician, plumbers, etc) were referred to me by Dan. I can't stress enough that I still compared their rates/experience/capabilities against all of the other folks I found on my own and his referrals saved me many thousands of dollars. Dan himself has worked on many homes, so his knowledge of the best folks to hire at the best rates is very unique to realtors. Bottom line, I can virtually guarantee if you are doing work to the house, Dan will be a huge asset in this process and can save you substantial costs. To top it off, I went on vacation with my family for the three weeks while the work was being done, and guess who came by my home every day to check on the project and even make runs to Home Depot? My realtor, Dan Demeo. I couldn't recommend someone more and I'd be happy to speak to anyone considering his services.

I am taking a break from unpacking to formally thank you for the terrific job you did of finding me this wonderful house.
I believe in neighborhood service providers and that includes real estate brokers so when I came to you, I knew you knew the neighborhood and beyond and you sure showed me I made the right choice. You took time to listen to what I was looking for and where I wanted to find it. Then you showed me what I was looking for in the desired neighborhoods. I knew it from the moment I stepped into this place. It had my name written all over it.
I laugh at some of the places we saw, especially the one where we had to take our shoes off to enter. One simultaneous, negative head shake and we were out of there. Then there were the houses that were great that I didn't get to make an offer. Throughout it all, your patience, humor and help got me here.
Now I am happy and content being here amongst all the boxes that line the halls and partially obscure the furniture. I know that everything will find it's place - just like you did for ME! Thank you from the bottom of my heart and I'll let you know when I will have the house-warming party.
